We would like to inform all foreign exchange students, residents of Študentski dom Ljubljana that the Regulation on conditions of staying foreign exchange students (Uradni list RS, No 77/2016), was changed and it entered into force on December 17th, 2016. Valid regulation determinates that all foreign exchange students who are staying in public dormitories have to pay the market price.
Študentski dom Ljubljana, therefore it followed the instructions given by ministry, which are:
1. The regulation does not include foreign exchange students, who signed a contract before December 17th, 2016, which means that the price for this students is unchanged. The same goes for students, who signed a contract before December 17th, 2016 and will extend their study based on the document signed by University.
2. Foreign exchanged students who signed a contract after December 17th, 2016 must pay the market price for staying in Študentski dom Ljubljana, including the date of signing the contract.
Furthermore, we would also like remind the students, who are signing the contract with a market price about a novelty: you will have to pay the price of staying on the day of departure depending on the day you leave by Dormitory rules of Študentski dom Ljubljana, paragraph 3, article 27. The Article stipulates that if residents leave to the 5th day of the month, they have to pay the rent for five days. If residents leave on the 15th day of the month(including), they have to pay the rent for half a month, and if residents leave after the 15th day of the month, they have to pay full rent.
